Heritage Concept

studioexp_ was tasked by Barbour to design a brand-new global Heritage retail concept—a modern store that seamlessly blends their core Heritage products with newly developed co-lab collections.

The goal was to create a space distictly different from their existing Lifestyle stores, serving as a halo destination in key cities to inspire and engage customers while celebrating the essence of Barbour’s rich British Heritage.

Collaborating closely with the Barbour team in South Shields, studioexp_ delivered the project from concept to completion. This included opening 2 stores in London (Carnaby Street and Neal Street) as well as stores in Leeds and Cambridge.

Our scope encompassed the full design process, from the development and production of bespoke fixtures to overseeing all aspects of delivery. This included securing landlord and council approvals, managing store fit-outs, handling snagging, and ultimately handing over the completed stores.

quoteI knew as soon as the brief came on the table that studioexp would be able to work on it and nail it for me. We are a small team at barbour so I needed an agency that could hit the ground running , who we could throw allsorts at and that would be an extension of my team and that’s exactly what they are. They understand is so implicitly so quickly and that’s so important. Always able to jump in and help us no matter what.
