Royal Doulton asked studioexp_ to design a new flexible mid floor fixture system to pilot across four key John Lewis stores.

The objective was to create a fixture that elevates both brand and product while remaining adaptable to Royal Doulton’s diverse and evolving product ranges. Designed to deliver standout within a busy multi-brand environment, the system balances presence with restraint — allowing the product to lead.

Through considered materiality, refined detailing and integrated lighting, the fixtures present the collections in their best light, enhancing perception and clarity without overpowering the space. The flexibile design allows for future product drops, seasonal updates and store-specific layouts.

The result is a scalable retail solution, that strengthens brand expression, improves visibility, and brings consistency across multiple locations while remaining adaptable over time.
